Henna and Jagua Gel Disclaimer

Our henna and jagua products are made from all-natural ingredients. Traditional henna is derived from the Lawsonia inermis plant and provides a reddish-brown stain. Jagua gel is created using juice from the Genipa Americana fruit and results in a dark blue-black stain. We never use black henna or products containing harmful additives like PPD (para-phenylenediamine).

Although our products are natural, allergic reactions can still occur. If you have sensitive skin, a history of plant-based allergies, or have never used henna or jagua before, we strongly recommend a patch test at least 24 hours before your full application.

If you experience any redness, itching, swelling, or discomfort, wash the area immediately with soap and water and discontinue use. Seek medical attention if symptoms persist or worsen.

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge that you have been informed of the ingredients and the potential for an allergic reaction. Your safety and comfort are our top priority.

Public and HOme Appointments

Public Meeting Appointments

For your convenience, Henna By Princess Serenity offers appointments at mutually agreed-upon public locations. We can meet at local coffee shops, restaurants, libraries, community centers, or public parks (weather permitting for outdoor appointments). Public meeting locations provide a comfortable, convenient, and safe setting for clients who prefer not to meet at home.

Public appointments are ideal for hand, wrist, forearm, and arm designs, as these areas can be applied comfortably while seated in a public setting. We will work together to select a location that is clean, well-lit, and conducive to creating your custom henna, jagua, or hengua design. If an outdoor location is selected, appointments may need to be rescheduled due to inclement weather, excessive heat, wind, or other conditions that could affect the application process or stain quality.

Home Visit Appointments

Home visit appointments may be scheduled after your initial appointment with Henna By Princess Serenity. To ensure the safety of both our clients and our team, the following requirements must be met for all in-home services:

  • A clean, well-lit area must be available for the henna application.

  • Access to a standard electrical outlet is required if blow drying is needed.

  • The home must be free of rodents, pests, or other unsafe conditions.

  • All pets must be securely contained before our team arrives and remain secured throughout the appointment.

  • Any additional services, design changes, extra participants, or added elements requested during the appointment may result in additional charges.

Henna By Princess Serenity reserves the right to decline or discontinue an in-home appointment if the environment is deemed unsafe or does not meet these requirements. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to creating a beautiful henna experience in your home.

Mobile Service Rate

A mobile convenience fee applies to all off-site appointments and is based on the travel distance from our service area. The travel fee will be calculated and provided at the time of booking before your appointment is confirmed. Additional fees may apply for extended travel, parking costs, or appointments outside of our standard service area.

Henna Events

Planning a celebration, party, or shower? Henna by Princess Serenity brings beauty and artistry to your event with natural henna and jagua designs. Event services start at $100–$150 per hour, depending on the level of detail and number of guests. From intimate gatherings to large festivals, I bring vibrant henna artistry to your special moments. Whether it’s a celebration, a cultural event, or just for fun, my setup adds a unique, beautiful experience to any space.

Event Retainer Policy

To ensure all services are properly prepared and delivered, full payment for event services is due prior to the scheduled date of the booking. Payment must be received by the agreed-upon deadline to confirm and secure your date and time.

The total event retainer includes, but is not limited to:

  • Travel to and from the location

  • Setup and breakdown time

  • Henna and/or jagua supplies

  • Design preparation and materials

  • Any required staff or artist support

This policy allows Henna By Princess Serenity to fully cover all costs associated with providing a smooth, high-quality experience. Events are not considered confirmed until full payment has been received.

Each booking will include a service contract outlining the specific event date, payment amount, design ideas, and payment deadlines. If the full payment is not received by the stated deadline, the booking will be cancelled due to non-payment, and services will not be rendered.

Henna Retouch policy

Retouch sessions are offered to refresh and deepen your original henna design at a reduced rate of 30–50% of the original price, depending on complexity.

  • Timing: Must be booked within 7 days of the original appointment.

  • Service: Retouches reinforce existing designs only — no major additions or changes.

  • After 7 days: A new full service will be required.

All retouch appointments are subject to availability.
